Visible Mending: Sashiko
Add value and style to your worn clothing.

Service Description
An introduction to the traditional Japanese mending method of Sashiko. A technique that dates back over 400 years and translates to ‘little stabs’, Sashiko is an embroidery method used to reinforce and beautify your clothing. Once used out of necessity it introduced the idea that our clothes can become more valuable the more they are worn. This one-off workshop covers basic geometric patterns and stitching techniques to turn worn items into unique pieces of art. You will leave with the skills to mend denim and other fabrics sustainably. 7PM-9PM Adults Only
